Moontower is a student housing apartment in Austin, Texas near The University of Texas campus. As a graphic designer at Catalyst Marketing Agency, I worked with the client to develop a logo, temporary website, and full website while they were constructing. The client requested branding that stood out as bright and bold in a market flooded with more modern or minimal design. I created a logo inspired by the neon signs of downtown Austin — featuring a red, orange, and yellow palette; unique lettering; and a 3D effect that was unique in their market. This project was completed in collaboration with copywriters, developers, and an art director.
I designed a one-page temporary website while Moontower was still being built that included brand imagery, renderings, amenity descriptions, and contact information that served as a placeholder for it's full website and as a place for prospective residents to join a list to prelease. This design won a Communicator Award and Moontower was 89.2% preleased by the time the full site launched. I also designed the full website which launched latter and a variety of other marketing materials including an a-frame sign for outside of their leasing office.
